Our Journal System handles all journal subscriptions on a calendar year basis, also known as volume year, which means that members are purchasing access to the journal for 12-months, January – December.
August 1st is the date renewal season begins and the rates for the next year are applied. All WALT members who Subscribe or Renew after August 1, 2021 will receive online access to Volume 40 through December 2022, as well as the journal archive back to Volume 1, No. 1. In other words, all ordered placed after August 1, 2021 are set up as subscriptions for the following year, with bonus online access beginning when the order is processed.
Members who subscribe to the journal prior to August 1 receive online access to the journal for the current volume year in which they subscribed, as well as the journal archive. If they have not renewed by end of the year, their subscription access will end in January of the following year.

Refund
Policy
If any applicant for membership to the World Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy (WALT) requests a refund for his/her membership fees, such a request must be made within 30 days in writing to the WALT Membership Secretary, Dr. G. Arun Maiya via e-mail to:
1. Membership Refund Policy
- 1.1 General Information
The World Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy (WALT) does not allow for the refund of membership purchases unless there are exceptional circumstances. Where exceptional circumstances can be shown to exist, the pro rata amount of the membership fee not exceeding 6 months may be refunded at the discretion of the Membership Secretary. Refund of membership fees shall incur an administration fee of $10.00 (USD) which shall automatically be deducted from the amount of the refund.
1.2 Overpayment Refund- Where an error has been made by WALT or a banking facility which results in an overpayment being made, the Membership Secretary/Treasurer may, in consultation with the member, refund by either a credit of the overpayment to the membership, or alternatively by transfer for the full amount of the overpayment. Where a member is responsible for the overpayment, the amount will be credited to the membership.
1.3 Terms and Conditions of WALT Membership Products and Services
WALT policy only allows services to be provided to members in good standing. If a member fails to pay their membership dues within one (1) month of the due date, the member will not be entitled to the privileges of a WALT membership. Membership in WALT can be re-instated on payment of the dues. If an individual’s membership is not in good standing they may not claim to be a member of WALT.
1.4 Transfer of WALT Membership
Memberships are not transferable.
1.5 Additional Costs incurred during the processing of WALT Membership Dues
The member will be responsible for all unexpected costs incurred by WALT in the processing of membership fees. Such costs include (but are not limited to) dishonoured cheque fees or bank charges made as a result of insufficient funds or accounts having been closed.
